DBCO-PEG-Acid (DBCO-PEG-COOH) is a heterobifunctional reactive PEG derivative featuring a dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) group and a carboxylic acid group at opposite ends of the PEG chain. The DBCO group allows for copper-free click chemistry with azide-containing molecules, enabling efficient and selective bioconjugation without the need for a catalyst. The carboxylic acid group can be activated for coupling reactions with primary amines, forming stable amide bonds. This dual functionality makes DBCO-PEG-COOH ideal for a variety of applications, including targeted drug delivery, protein modification, and the development of advanced biomaterials and nanomedicine platforms.
