N3-PEG-Biotin, also known as Azide-PEG-Biotin, is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent featuring an azide functional group (-N3) and a biotin group on the PEG ends. The azide group allows for selective conjugation to molecules containing suitable reactive groups, such as alkynes or strained cyclooctynes, through click chemistry reactions. Biotin, on the other hand, serves as a high-affinity ligand for avidin and streptavidin proteins, enabling specific binding in various biological assays and detection methods. N3-PEG-Biotin is widely used in the development of labeled biomolecules, surface modifications, and bioconjugates for applications such as immunoassays, fluorescence microscopy, and protein purification.

Biopharma PEG offers a wide range of PEG products from lab to commercial scale in both non-GMP and GMP grades. Email at sales@biochempeg.com and start using a superior product for your next product R&D project.
