Uses:
8-Arm PEG-Norbornene is a multi-arm PEG derivative with ester bonds, which can be hydrolyzed and degraded. This derivative is well-suited for copper-free click chemical reactions with tetrazines and mercaptan-ene (thiol-ene) click reactions with mercaptans, making it an excellent choice for preparing hydrogels and other biocompatible materials.
PEG hydrogels, in particular, have diverse applications in medical devices and regenerative medicine, including controlled drug release, 2D and 3D cell cultures, and wound sealing and healing. The branched or comb-like structure of 8-Arm PEG-Norbornene is also advantageous in drug delivery systems, as it increases the molecular weight of the modified drug, reducing the likelihood of rapid elimination through metabolic processes in the body. This characteristic enhances the therapeutic efficacy and bioavailability of the drug.
Biopharma PEG offers a wide range of PEG products from lab to commercial scale. Email at [email protected] and start using a superior product for your next product R&D project.
