DSPE-PEG-ACA, also known as DSPE-PEG-Acrylamide, is a lipid-PEG conjugate that combines a hydrophobic lipid component DSPE and an acrylamide group. The DSPE component facilitates incorporation into lipid bilayers, making it suitable for creating liposomes and micelles. The acrylamide group can engage in radical polymerization or UV-sensitive photopolymerization, forming stable amide linkages. It is widely used in the formulation of liposomes, micelles, and other nanoparticle systems for drug delivery.
