DSPE-PEG-Biotin is a linear heterobifunctional PEGylation reagent that combines a DSPE phospholipid with a biotin group. This reagent is instrumental in creating PEGylated liposomes or micelles, leveraging its self-assembling properties. The DSPE facilitates lipid bilayer integration, improving drug solubility, while the PEG moiety confers stealth characteristics, extending circulation half-life and reducing non-specific protein binding or cell adhesion.
