Human Growth Hormone (HGH), also known as somatotropin, is a key peptide hormone produced by somatotropic cells in the anterior pituitary. As a member of the somatotropin/prolactin family, HGH supports normal growth and development by stimulating IGF-1 production, promoting bone mineralization, increasing muscle mass, and regulating metabolism.
