Uses:
4-ARM PEG-Mal is a multifunctional 4-arm PEG derivative featuring a central pentaerythritol core with thiol-reactive maleimide groups at each terminus. At physiological pH (6.5–7.5), these functional groups undergo efficient Michael addition with sulfhydryl-containing molecules to form stable thioether bonds. Its unique four-arm architecture provides high cross-linking density and multi-point connectivity, making it an ideal tool for site-specific protein/peptide modification, PEG hydrogel formation, and advanced drug delivery applications.
